"BREATH OF LIFE"

"The winds of change are blowing"

This banner vision was given in early 1999 as a "youth" banner.  It was completed in October of the same year.  The goal was a "psychedelic" look of color and movement... a visual representation of the BREATH OF GOD and the responsive breath of praise from His creation. The word "LIFE" Crafted in 3 parts, it fits together to form
a 7' x 12' set.

The verse is from Psalm 150 ~ the last Great Hallel ~ the "conclusion " hymn culminating the entire book of Psalms. It reveals heaven and earth joined together in praise... a time when His earthly creation speaks and sings in harmony with the angelic host ~ a worship of extreme intensity!

"Hallelujah! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse of heaven!
Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD!
This "breath" is not the type of breath that represents a transitory, vain, meaningless, purposeless thing. It does not denote a gentle southerly breeze. It pictures a STRONG WIND. It is a word which means "to blast or destroy".
It is a breath of a powerful wind!
It is the same breath of wind that was breathed into the nostrils of Adam...
"And the Lord God formed man
of the dust of the ground and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and the man became a living being."
It is same breath of wind that David knew and spoke about in Psalm 18:5 and 2 Sam 22:16:
"The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered His voice. He sent out arrows and scattered them; lightning bolts, and He vanquished them. Then the channels of the sea were seen. The foundations of the world were uncovered, at the rebuke of the Lord,
at the blast of the breath of His nostrils."
This breath of wind, the very breath of life,
uncovered the very foundations of the world!
